Regarding Exchanging Confidential Information

Hi, guys, I don't believe that I actually have to write this, but I have no choice.

For several weeks now, I have been quietly filtering several posts, which were either listing Genesys passwords or were pointing to illegal copies of Genesys and Nortel software manuals. I know that in most cases it is really useful to have someone send you a manual or two, but it is one thing to send it DISCREETLY to the person who needs it, and totally another to post it so that anyone can see it.

Genesys manuals are confidential and should be treated this way. Nortel Link manuals are even more so. Posting them online is in direct breach of agreement with the maker. Posts like that jeopardize not only the security of our clients, but also cause additional sleepless nights upgrading the system, because client feels threatened that someone knows a particular setup of a proxy server, for example.

We have over 800 people accessing this forum everyday, so let's use it to our advantage. I am not too eager to spend my Saturday night changing passwords on PBX and I am sure neither are you. So let's keep it clean, professional and useful:)
