CentOS / Linux Compatibilty

Hello,

We have a client who will be deploying a third party solution (with integration to Genesys v81) using an Operating System called CentOS however cannot see this referenced within any genesys docs or articles.
First does anyone know if it is compatible to work with Genesys applications ie LCA?  The closest version is red hat Linux, whose source it appears to be using.
Without assuming would this be the selected version?
When setting up host objects in CME, I would need to select same option (again this server is not on drop down list).

thanks.

Hi, you can use Oracle Enterprise Linux, which is a clone of Redhat, and officially supported by Genesys. It has to be running Redhat kernel, not Oracle kernel.
We have Genesys running on Centos as well, but Genesys support didn't accept opened support tickets.

As was written before, most of the Genesys components will works properly on CentOS, because the core is same as RHEL (in general), but this installation will never supported by Genesys officialy. In case, when on the server will just thirdparty app running, do not worry about Genesys support, there are no interoperability guide :)
