Load and Code Testing of API Code for Various Voice Systems

Say, If I want to do load testing of API code changes for various Voice systems like Cisco, Avaya, Aspect, Genesys and others what system might best help with the testing?  What seems to be a possible solution to me is to have a Voice system that is run on a virtual linux image, can be used to route calls through a test configuration where the virtual machine simulates answering of calls and gives feedback to the test system.

The Genesys T-Server configuration looks interesting but I am not sure if it can be used to communicate with API code being tested in a virtual machine rather than a real Cisco, Avaya, Aspect or other voice system.

Genesys is offering a cloud version.  Is their cloud version as flexible as their non cloud offerings as to API offerings?

Problem is that if you test against a virtual Tserver (exists a Tserver for Avaya for Emulation) you will not be able to test how does Cisco pbx should behave and it's integration for example. You can't run valid tests with replacements, must be a lab which is clone of your prd environment
