Default IVR Profile and recordingclient.recdest

The deployment has 2 sites . Each site had a active -active pair of Resource manager and each site has a active-passive redundancy type recorder server.I need complete Genesys integration with a 3rd party recording system. For this one of configuration item is recordingclient.recdest set at default IVR profile level.

Per GQM documentation this is set with value of recorder IP/port.Per GVP documentation this is set to value of RM IP/Port.Which is of the setting is correct ?

If RM IP/port is configured ,can both RM IP/Port be configured for recdest config as RM is set in active-active mode ? If not which RM to be used?

Since there are two sites ,does that mean ,i need to create one tenant for each site ,and one default ivr profile for each site with recdest set to respective site RM?

It depends on if you are using RTP stream replication. If yes, you have to define the recdest(recdest2) parameters to IP addresses of recorder server. If no, you can use RM IP and port (any IP of one of the configured nodes).

You have not to create more than one tenant (check what tenant is, you are mixing independent things together), you have to just define two LRG, where the recorder from related site will be configured.

Thanks for the reply . Not using media stream replication ,so i have to configure RM IP n Port. I have active-active pair  RM on 2 sites ,so 4 RM in total .Can i configure any RM IP and Port out of 4 ?
how that would work in a multi site scenario?

In this case set the recdest to IP address of one of the configured recorder servers (GQM).

Thanks for the reply . I was wondering if this combination would work .

Site 1 : SIP active-standby ,RM Active-Active , RecorderServer LRG (1 Active ,1 Passive) ,Recording client LRG :MCP ( Set of MCP dedicated to recording ,all active)
Site 2 : SIP active-standby ,RM Active-Active , RecorderServer LRG (1 Active ,1 Passive) ,Recording client LRG:MCP ( Set of MCP dedicated to recording ,all active)

Configuration :
1. Create one IVR profile "Recording_site1" ,Set following option in profile : recordingclient.recdest=fixed,sip:<Site_1_ActiveRecorder_IP>:< Recorder_Port>
2. Create second IVR profile "Recording_site2" ,Set following option in profile : recordingclient.recdest=fixed,sip:<Site_2_ActiveRecorder_IP>:< Recorder_Port>
3. Create MSML DN  for site 1 with following option : request-uri=gvp_tenantid=Recording_site1
4.Create MSML DN for site 2 with following option:  request-uri=gvp_tenantid=Recording_site2

Site 1 : SIP hot-standby (IP takeover) ,RM Active-Active (SIP acting as LB) , RecorderServer LRG (1 Active ,1 Passive) ,Recording client LRG :MCP ( Set of MCP dedicated to recording ,all active)
Site 2 : SIP hot-standby (IP takeover),RM Active-Active (SIP acting as LB) , RecorderServer LRG (1 Active ,1 Passive) ,Recording client LRG:MCP ( Set of MCP dedicated to recording ,all active)

From my point of view, there is no reason for using active-passive mode for LRG with GQM recorder servers, but it depend on your considered architecture.

Configuration :
1. Create default IVR profile (can be just one per tenant) "DefaultIVRProfile" ,Set following option in profile : recordingclient.recdest=fixed,sip:<Site_1_ActiveRecorder_IP>:< Recorder_Port>
2. Create standard MSML DN  for Genesys Media Server integration
3. Create standard MSML DN  for Genesys Media Server integration

If the call will arrive on site, where the LRG with IP address of the GQM recserver is unknown/not monitored by RM, the local RM will use own LRG with with service type "recording server"
