I was checking some old blog here, found mcr is similar like content analyzer (ca)??
mcr email server, mcr classification server (in the old version]..
i was checking  http://www.sggu.com/smf/index.php/topic,2255.90.html
1)mcr does what? mcr esj and esj both are different componenent..
2)http://genesys-mcr-extension.software.informer.com/8.1/  is it what we have download?
3)if mcr is optional?when it will be useful? we use esj for email and multimedia (twitter, facebook ) for social media server (in genesys)

could you please tell me..

Thanks
Raja

Ufff - strongly recommend to learn about Genesys, read docs or visit training. You are totally mixing thins together and do not understand general principles and terms.

MCR is "Multi-channel routing" solution/layer which provide you with non-voice "connectors" as a email, chat, webcallback, co-browse. etc. The MCR layer has following components:

- ESJ (Email Server Java) - Providing communication with Exchange servers (IMAP/POP3)
- ChatServer - Providing chat services
- Classficiation - screening services
- IXN - T-Server for non-voice interaction
- UCS - contact database
- SocialMS - social media (twitter, facebook, rss)
- SMS - providing SMS services

MCR ESJ and Classficiation server is not part of "old" version, but they are still part of MCR/eServices layer in latest releases.

MCR is a layer, not a component! Layer like MNG or CFG. Part of this layer are components like ESJ, SMS, IXN, DBSever. Read the docs, please.

ICS, MCR, Multimedia and eServices....
"Same" thing - but different versions have different names:

Genesys version
6.x - ICS (Internet Contact Solution)
7.0 - 7.1 MCR (Multi-Channel Routing)
7.2-8.0 - Multimedia
8.1 -> eServices
