Hi All,

Can anyone please suggest more information on this product GIR which Genesys is proposing instead of GQM. The documents which Genesys provided is very limited and doesn't have a clear cut deployment approach.

Did anyone deploy this in any of your client sites? Please comment if so.. I am totally messed up with the Genesys docs. Such a poor documentation.

I am currently deploying the LAB environment and prepare PoC for one or our customer - what is not clear for you about GIR? just note : The GIR is not instead GQM, this is just a own product by Genesys providing same set of services. GQM is OEM SW provided by ZOOM.

Yes, but these video covering just screen recording and not entire functiond and their description. I know about these videos, just think that there are any others. Unfortunately, not so much detailed.

Hi Kubig,

Thanks for the response. Even i am trying to deploy it in the lab to provide it for one of our customer. I got 2 documents which were not present in docs site from Genesys team but those docs are not in detail. It speaks about the deployment of Recording Plugin for GAX, recording processor and Recording crypto server.

There is no signs of deploying Playback User Interface (as per my understanding it is Speechminer). GQM from Zoom was better and easy for deployment.

I thought of sharing my concerns here, so it would help in the deployment.

[li]The main thing what is not clear is from where do we deploy Playback User Interface?[/li]
[li]When i try to upload the installation package of Recording plugin in GAX 8.1.4. It is in the state of pending for hours.  :([/li]

Anyways i shall check the video which Jayakumar shared. If you have any knowledge on any of my concerns, appreciate your support and help.

I have done the GIR part of installation and the WS, Cassandra, WebDAV. Currently working on SpeechMiner part of installation (Windows paltform with MSSQL).

By GIR part of installation did you mean the Plugin for GAX, recording processor, crypto server? And how do we deploy the WS and WebDAV? Is this GIR installation a stand alone server (All these components installed on 1 server including SpeechMiner?)

Appreciate your help if possible.

I am installing it on three servers within my lab (due to the HA tests):

1. Server - REC Processor, REC Crypto server, WebDav, SpeechMiner IR, SpeechMiner UPlatform (Windows)
2. Server - HTCC, Cassandra, MCP, RM, SIP (Linux)
3. Server - GAX, SpeechMiner UI (Windows)

You can get the documents from Genesys - have to ask for them (all is under shipping and PM control).

I agree that GQM deployment is more easier.

I got the CD shipped by Genesys for GIR. But it contains the following contents only

[li]Recorder Crypto[/li]
[li]Muxer Scripts (Which i haven't understood where to use and what is its functionality)[/li]
[li]Recording plugin[/li]
[li]Recording processor script[/li]
[li]Recording screen client[/li]
[li]Templates[/li]
[/list]

There is a folder for documentation but it is all empty with few icons only. No documents.

You said, you divided this installation in 3 servers for HA tests. HA of what did you mean by this?

I shall check with genesys for the documents you mentioned.  :)

You have to request for HTCC and SpeechMiner.

BY the HA I meant the Cassandra cluster and more HTCC instances balanced by Apache.

I have never encountered this issue during GIR implementation.
