Send and capture Snmp trap when raising an alarm

Helle,
i'm trying to send an snmp trap after sending an alarm, and want to capture the snmp trap sended.
Has anyone have already done this or have a tutorial about this subject.

You need to have an NMS user interface where you load the Genesys MIB file.
You can get some more details on it in the Built-in SNMP support in the Management Layer user guide.

You will need to have the Genesys SNMP Master Agent installed and connected to whatever components you want to alarm - Management Framework of GVP for example. For testing I use a free product from iReasoning  [url=http://ireasoning.com/mibbrowser.shtml]http://ireasoning.com/mibbrowser.shtml[/url] to receive the traps. You can send them to multiple IP Addresses using the SNMP MA. For an Enterprise level solution you would send the traps to your network monitoring tools.
