I Suite / Oracle issue help

What version of the Internet Suite are you running ? You need version 5.1.618 or later to run Oracle remotely.

Doesn't it say in the manual that SQL Server is highly recommended for the internet suite?
My company here is really worried that Genesys is slowly moving toward unifying all of their applications under a Microsoft flag.
So far, one of the really strong points about Genesys was its ability to run on nonMicrosoft platforms, but it looks like it is slowly changing. Few days ago, I have already contacted Genesys asking for more information about its thoughts on continuing to actively support nonMicrosoft platforms. So far, there were no reply. I think it would be a good idea to post the reply here! :)
