What happens to DAPs in an update

Dear expert friends;

I hope you are well, I have a question and I think it goes through a concept issue, in an update process of the Engage platform where each component has to be updated, what happens with the DAP's, I understand that they are only connection objects towards a database, these DAP's must be updated in some way, I understand that not, in my laboratory I have it in the Database Access point 8.0.3 version.

I look forward to your kind response, thank you

DAP is just a logical object that stores credentials and DB Engine server information, no need to upgrade. What can happen is some component to stop using DAP and begin to use JDBC like IXNServer for example. But when you upgrade no need to do nothing with DAPs as they are not software.

Thank you very much for your kind response, I actually did the component update and did not touch any DAP, there was no problem.
