Zewt,

as far as I can tell, I was able to successfully uninstall ICC suite. What error are you getting?

  • Hi Vic

It was saying that it cannot find the install.log file and i had to manually renamed the file to install.log in order to remove it.
I found out that it only happen in NT4 and not Windows 2000 OS.

However, it doesnt happen for ICC6.1 Tier 1 release.

    Regards.

yea, we had that problem, but I figured I screwed somewhere and that's why it did not work... Oops!

By the way, did you experience any problems with LCA after instaling AgentStarter on the same machine as LCA/SCS ? I had to reinstall the whole NT because I was no longer able to start some of the applications using SCI. It would just hang as pending forever. When I would try to start it form the command prompt it would work just fine... I contacted Genesys about it, but they said that they could not replicate the problem... Weird... I am using Fujitsu Primergy Server. I wonder if it has something to do with that...

    Hi Vic

Initially i also thought that something went wrong with my OS or i messed up somewhere, but after spending a few days and nights on the Framework and ICC, i realised that it is actually the genesys software that is buggy.

It was recommended from genesys is not to fire up the agentstarter together with the ICC server as it will cause "drwatson", which means in order to test the agent functionality, you had to run from a different machine.

For example your case of not able to fire up certain components of the applications was because if you open Config Manager and you look into the startup ab in the application, the startup info is actually empty. i had to manually key in the parameters in order to fire up the application using SCI.

btw, if you double clicked on the medialink.exe, it will fired up 2 medialink. however using services or sci, it will only fire up one.

However, i do find that G6.X work best with Windows 2000 instead of WinNt4.

Most of the issues i encountered on NT4 doesnt happened on Win2k.

guess maybe they need to release a "service pack" for G6.X? ;>
