Hello community,
I have a virtual Windows 2003 Enterprise Server with all Genesys components installed. This is laying on a VMware Host Machine in our LAN.
I am working with IRD 7.6.100.07 on my Windows XP Professional Laptop and connect to the Genesys machine to edit routing strategies.
The problem occurs when opening an email target object and trying to open the dropdown lists under "Queues" heading. Then IRD crashes with normal Windows error dialog about sending this stuff to Microsoft.
First I thought I destroyed my current routing strategy, but it occurs on totally different routing strategies as well. Further it works on the virtual Genesys machine itself without problems! (but there I have sluggish performance, therefore I prefer my local IRD installation).
Now I tried to use Windows XP's compatibility mode (emulate Windows 2000) - but no success. Then I tried another machine (OS: Windows Server 2003 Standard) and there it works!
Well ... this would be an alternative but it is not my primary machine and I would like to edit my strategies on my primary machine...
...........OK I JUST NOW SOLVED IT!!! (sometimes it helps to write it down then you find out things you can try in addition..

)
Sry for posting this still, but now I wrote it and maybe it helps s. o. else!
SOLUTION: Use compatibility mode for IRD and deactivate visual styles!

Nicolas
