Hello,

What is the correct information for Stream Manager (SM) Connections Tab in CME?

1. I saw that some SM connected to Message Server (msg) and configuration server.

2. Other SM    has connection to SIP server and msg  server.

Well you can find that info on the deployment documentation. CfgServer....why???
Message Server for logs. SipServer...no...communication is done via SIP...

Thanks for your feedback, but what do you think about potential negative effect of these “extra connections” to configuration and SIP servers?

Hi

The negative effect can come if the SM won't ignore them.
The cavagnaro is right. There is no need for it.

The SM application is configured in the treatment DN of switch Annex -> TServer -> contact. The TServer SIP checks the treatment DN if required in routing to play some treatment with SM.
From DN options the TServerSIP starts communication against the SM.

It is not necessary to configure additional connections in TServerSIP or SM.

Hi Robo,

That means SIP-tsrvr will pick only those DN's having Contact options under Annex->Tsrvr, for playing some treatment with SM as part of the routing.

Yes, SIP Server looks only for DNs of type Voice IP Service with correct Annex tab (see documentation for list of mandatory parameters).
