Reg: oracle 9i compatibility with T-server 7.6

Hi,

I have couple of questions with respect to oracle database and t-server components. Could any one help me out here.
Currently we are running with framework 7.2 with oracle9i databases. We are planning to upgrade the database to 10g.
1. Is the existing framework & T-server compatible with Oracle10g?
2. If we upgrade the T-server component alone 7.6, and keeping the database at oracle9i, Does this option works? and does it support call concentrator.
3. Is it compatible if we upgrade the T-server to 7.6 and database to oracle 10g.

Tserver...Database....Tserver....Database....T....D....t...d...t...

TServer has nothing to do with a DataBase, TServer is the media connector only. You need to check DBServer component compatibility. Moving to 7.6 would require a DB reconfiguration, check with your Genesys provider on how will this impact your environment.
DBServer 7.6 does support Oracle 10g, check system documentation

As Cav wrote, T-Server has no connection to a database but there are other Genesys components that interoperability with Oracle 10g must be checked.

I assume you have Call Concentrator release 7.0 as there is no 7.2 release. T-Server 7.6 is newer than CCon 7.0 so I assume no interoperability tests were run. I would recommend you to ask Genesys Support about support of such deployment.

Again, T-Server is 'out of game' here . Both DBServer 7.2 and CCon 7.0 support Oracle 10g.

Could you please provide me the system document if you have ,where i can get the details of the compatible genesys components & their version for Oracle 10g.

Sorry but I can't send you any Genesys document. You would need to download it by yourself from Genesys Support website or ask you Genesys partner to download it for you.

Document name is 'Genesys Supported Operating Environment Reference Manual'.
