Hi, I would like to implement coldstandby for a TServer but I am not sure if Genesys provides it. Can we configure 2 Tservers on 2 different servers; one Tserver is running and the other is not; when the first Tserver goes down, can Genesys start the second Tserver?

  • Cold standy is supported for all applications except historical reporting. It is quite straight forward to configure, you just have to specify the backup TServer on the Server Info tab and the fact you want to use ColdStandby on the Start Info tab. However using ColdStandby for TServer is not very useful.

    Hope this helps.

  • Hi, Gauthier. thks

I did not see any coldstandby option. I only see warmstandby, hotstandby and Not specified.

R u sure Genesys provides Coldstand by in the basic package? Or is it only autorestart feature?

    thks

  • I believe that in 6.5 Genesys removed the cold standby option as it wasn't very useful. Why cold and not warm?
