UCS won't start

Hi All,

Good day..!  I have issue in Universal Contact Server, for some reason its not starting. As mentioned in the UCS deployment guide, i have configured the UCS & UCS DAP. As requested, we have installed "jdk1.6.0_38" also installed on the server. Even we created require UCS tables by running the sql_scripts. UCS & Sql Server is installed on the same server.

From the log, i couldn't find any clue. But some "jar files not found" error message is generating in the logs.  Am not sure whether missing jar files causing the problem or any other issues?

Anyone, please help me to solve this issue

Hi,

Yes. If i run "echo %JAVA_HOME%" from cmd, i can see the correct path,  "C:\Program Files\Java\jdk1.6.0_38" [Java Installation path]

And i have configured JVMPath & Djava.library.path in the "ContactServerDriver" file as mentioned below.

Anything else i need to configure?

Program Files with blank space is OK? I think no,I recommended you to install java,which is used for Genesys,to directory without blankspace. Another things in that the JVMPath is not necessary to related to JDK,only JRE.

I tried install UCS in D drive(Without any blank space) and as suggested, "Java Environment and Libraries for eServices and UCS" also installed. but no luck. Still the application is not starting.

One more thing, we installed IWS &  then Java Environment and Libraries & then installing UCS.

As mentioned earlier we are using, SQL SERVER 2008. Still we need to install oracle client for UCS?

Hi Cavagnaro,

I have double checked the URS_DAP configuration.

In the server_info tab, i have mentioned the SQLSERVERNAME & PORT(1433). I can able to telnet the 1433 port. And the UCS application is configured on 7007 port.  But still the application is not running.

We are installing UCS & SqlServer the same server. I believe, it will not cause any issue.

As suggested, JDBC defug is enabled.

UCS 8.0.2and lower wont start with configserver 8.1 for example...

It is not a true.UCS 8.0.x can run with 8.1 FW,but it is necessary to do some steps for clearly deployment
