IServer Stopping periodically

We have a Meridian Option 81C, Periphonics IVR, Genesys 6.1, IServer 6.1, TServer 6.5, and they are on a WIN2000 Server....

The problem we are experiencing is: The IServer will stop periodically. It was originally installed to run as a Service on the Server, but will not start correctly. To start it, we have to do it from the command line. Has anyone else experienced this issue?

  • Generically, if you start IServer as an application, rather than a Service, you may find that you will have to run the command on the Server desktop, instead of using a Remote Desktop connection.

This is one of the limitations we are looking into as we develope 6.5 on Win2K.

The problem stems from the fact that, when you "log off" a Win2K Server, you loose the applications you are running under your UserID.

So, make sure you run the application from the Server, never remotely.

    I do hope this helps?
